Can someone help me how to pass a parameter in Crystal Reports using CFREPORT?

i tried the samples from the documentation but won't work with my reports in passing a parameter ...

actually i have make it work to view the reports to pass a paramater thru the URL but i'd like to have another option of using CFREPORT instead... im using coldfusion 4.5.1
