Have you ever run into the problem where the Norstar will set CFNA back to none by itself on random users?

On MICS with the old Rlse-1 RAM cartridge quirky things could happen. Especially after power outages and brown-outs. And CFNA is one of the program items stored on the RAM cartridge.
Also MICS 4.0 and early 4.1 releases of s/w were suspect

Not saying that CFNA was an issue, just that the RLSE1 Ram was, and thats where that particular programming was stored. You have likely seen this before, but...

Based on analysis and feedback, Nortel Networks has identified a very low incidence where power
cycling can result in data corruption on the NVRAM cartridge. To date, the only confirmed incidents of
data corruption have affected memory locations storing routing code information. The result is the loss of
Routing Codes after a power cycle.
Note: After strenuous testing of the NVRAM cartridge Nortel Networks has confirmed that the only data
corruption that should occur is the routing code information however this is not the only data that is stored
on the NVRAM cartridge.ATA settings, Trunk configuration parameters (Line coding, Framing etc.), DTI and BRI Line
provisioning, Network Name programming (Business name), Hospitality (all programming), Line pool
access code programming, Target line appearances, Received number length, DISA, ANI and DNIS
settings in the Line data area, Carrier access codes

Just saying that this may be a place to look if it's R4.1 or greater, and release 1 RAM

Good info sprucegrover.

Snowmobile season sadly is over for now!!
