We started getting this error. Nothing we read makes sense about this error - not that there is much to read.

Macromedia has a statement about it on their site (http://www.macromedia.com/support/coldfusion/ts/documents/tn17893.htm), but if anyone has any further information about why this error occurs, it would be greately appreicated!

from the link you posted, macromedia workaround is
After requesting a form which validates data using the _range suffix and only has either the MIN or MAX value set, ColdFusion will crash.

To resolve this issue, use both the MIN and MAX value attribute when using the _range suffix for validating form field data.

does this not describe what you are trying to do?

no which is why I posted this and posted the link to the very page that has just what you quoted.

I wouldn't have posted this otherwise.

well "Nothing we read makes sense about this error" could mean that you don't understand macromedia's workaround, or that (like you just said) that it does not describe what you are trying to do- i wouldn't know from your original post and i have to start with the simple and obvious first- as a lot of times that is where the problem lies.

so does this error happen on only 1 page or is it random? can you post the code for the page that it happens on or explain more about when this error occurs, if it is random or only happens when a certain function is called?
