Hi! I am running ColdFusion MX 7 and have a question about cfmail. I'm not sure I can do this. I want to be able to send an email using cfmail and somehow not allow the recipient to forward that email to anyone else. Is this possible? I once received some kind of "e-vite", which was an invitation to an event, and forwarding was turned off and not allowed, but I don't know how they did it.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!!

cfmail sends email. That's it. It has no control over what happens to the email once it has left the CF Server. There may be some type of headers or params that you can put in the email to not allow forwarding, but I've never heard of any...

Hope This Helps!

even if there was nothing can stop someone from copying and pasteing into a new mail.

We've heard that a million monkeys at a million keyboards could produce the complete works of Shakespeare; now, thanks to the Internet, we know that is not true.

I have only seen it done with Lotus Notes, but that's probably because it uses its own mail server and doesn't allow other mail clients to connect to it.
