in firefox, when you click on an image, it displays it just fine. In IE, it asks to download it. I have the mime types set in the cfcontent tag... is this a new 'feature' in IE to judge a file by it's extension and not a mime type? I remember using this method in IE 5 a while back and it worked well..

works for me. did you fix it or is your browser goofed up?

We've heard that a million monkeys at a million keyboards could produce the complete works of Shakespeare; now, thanks to the Internet, we know that is not true.

must be my browser. I set the security stuff pretty high sometimes.

Now just to make sure, are you talking about the thumnails loading, or did you click on the thumbnails to get the larg view?

You probably get the idea, but I use cfcontent so I can restrict access tothe images. like, If it is a img link on a forum off of my site, only a small thumbnail shows up even if they psecify the large version.

anyways, thanks for checking.

what version of CF are you running? I'm using 5 and wasn't able to get this to work. Are you storing the image file above the root of the website, or just in a folder in the website? I'm trying to do a similar thing with PDF files that I store above the root of the website so that you can't link directly to them.

right now, if the referer or host is not my domain, you get the thumbnail, even if you link to the large pic. (not the main project pic, that is hotlinkable)

I changed it a few days ago to load in an img tag, like the thumbs and it works on all browsers that I tested with.

if not, let me know what it does!
