Certs expired on IP Office VMware server edition

Have an IP Office VMware server edition version is 11.0.4.6.0 Build 18.
Cert expired.
Was going to regenerate the certs but someone said I would need to upgrade in order to do so.
Is this the case or would I just be able to regenerate from the IP Office as it is?

You can do it without update. You should check if the certificate is generated by the IPO device itself (self signed) or by the CA that is inbuilt in the Server.

If you look at the certificate you will see either that it has no issuer (self signed) or if it has one (usually something like ipoffice-root…). In the second case it is generated by the internal CA.

No need to upgrade, even if it is suggested though because the underlying OS (CentOS) of the IPO 11.x is EoS.
