Hi,

I need to enable SSL on my Intranet. I think I need the Certification Authority Server installed. Does anyone know where I find the software for this?. ie is it part of Option pack or Windows 2000 Advanced Server or what?
Secondly what do I need to do to achieve SSL on my Intranet?
Any Help appreciated.
Thx
TK

go to add or remove programs on any of the Windows 2000 server family then windows components and you can select certificate services from there all you will need is the win2k cd for that server use this link to microsofts site, it has step by step guides, take a look at the section called security services close to the bottom of the page

How does SSL use certificates? It would be nice to provide a secure environment for web pages. Do you need to use a 3rd party provider to make it work for the typical internet user? If you have a link into the inner workings of how SSL uses certificates, it would be appreciated.
