Cell Background missing

I'm having a problem in IE 5.x doesn't seem to happen in 6.0

When my page loads I have quite a few cells that get their background from an image (small jpg file). most of the cells load the background fine, but about 7 or 8 just don't load it and stay blank. it's the same background file and the same size cells

Any Ideas, I would appreciate.
