I have a CD-RW drive installed on a SPARC machine and use cdrw to burn CD-Rs. Now I've got a new "IDE" CD-RW drive and need to install it in an Intel system running Solaris x86. However, cdrw does not exist for Solaris x86.
I see a program named cdrecord available for SPARC and have the source code (which I will attempt to build on x86) but, from what I am reading cdrecord appears to be for SCSI CD-R drives.
Has anyone used a CD-RW drive installed in a system running Solaris 8 x86? If so, what program/software do you use to burn CD-Rs?
