CDRW - Not burning properly

Everytime I burn music (music CD), I have problems with small files. All files that I burn that are around 3 minutes get cut off at the end by 3 to 5 seconds.

It's really annoying!

What am I doing wrong? I tried burning at 52x as well as 4x and I still get the cut off at the end (but only for small music files)!

I have a lite-on 52/24/52 CDRW. I'm using Roxio 5 to burn (not Nero which came with the product).

Thanks

Hi there,

Cdogg - yeah you are right "... For some people it works fine in ME/2K/XP..." - I am running XP with ALL updates and have the Aspi Layer installed! Had no adverse effects uptodate...

Darn good advice: "Even though you uninstalled Nero, you didn't uninstall and reinstall Roxio. Any conflict that may have risen between the two can easily be solved by starting from scratch.

Yes, if the reinstall of Roxio and applying its updates doesn't help, then try disconnecting the CD-ROM. Also make sure you have SP4 installed with all the latest critical updates for Win2K."

can't say more to that...

NaiDanac: with that much RAM under W2k it shouldn't be a problem installing NERO 6 at all and getting "out of mem" errors can only mean that there is something majorly wrong somewhere along the line... Bad copy of NERO for instance...

Ben

PS - hope, no matter which avenue you take, that it gets sorted out...
