Hi all,

Trying to install db software from cd on a solaris 10 new build. It doesn't appear that the cd is mounting as when I go into /cdrom I don't see cdrom0. I can manually mount the cd to /cdrom but when I do my install fails out. I don't even see vold anywhere. I do see the vold.conf file but don't see the binaries in the usuall place (/usr/sbin)

Any ideas?

Thanks,

reinstalled;

so pgrep vold does not show the process running?

did you try to start vold. /etc/init.d/volmgt start?

make sure you are not in the cdrom dir when you start vold
