Hello all,

If I want to extract CDR information from our Prologix switches, can I just add a digital phone card to the switch (so I can have a port for a data module), configure it, and use a serial cable to pull the information onto a PC using HyperTerminal? If this is case, how can I get my Prologix to recognize the digital phone card I installed (TN2214B)?

The bottom line is pulling CDR information from our Prologix. If there's another way to do it, I'd love to know. Thanks in advance guys!

J.

There are (2) RS-232 connectors on the back of the 'A' cabinet of the Prologix. One is labled 'TERM' for the local SAT terminal. The other is labled 'DCE' and can be used for either the CDR output or a System Printer. If the DCE port is spare just plug an RS-232 cable into it and connect it to your CDR device. Log into the Prologix ad do a 'change system cdr'. Select the CDR format that your vendor wants and enter 'eia' for the Output Endpoint.
