CDONTS wont send mail

Hello.

As part of my asp script it tries to send an administrative email to me to inform me of something. I have the virtual SMTP host installed in IIS and it is running but mail always stays in the Queue and never gets delivered. The server is running win2k server and our domain also has exchange running. What settings could I check/try?

I have fixed it now. In the smarthost section i put the domain name of our Exchange server and now it works. Thanks

You might try switching from CDONTS (which is being phased out) to the newer CDO such as can be seen in the E-mail Attachment example at
