I uninstalled internet explorer from the Add/Remove Programs in the control panel. I chose the option of deleting so I could not delete again. After the process was complete I rebooted my system. I no longer have access to my cd-rom drive. It is not in my computer or device manager. I have tried unplugging the cd-rom and plugging it back in. Windows does not find it upon re-entering. Add new hardware does not find it either. [sig][/sig]

Problem normally unrelated to add/remove. More likely a coincidental failure. Go back to your win95 install boot disk and see if loading those drivers give access or if the cd is dead there too. My SWAG is broken cd. If you need further help how about giving some more hardware / software details, helping diagnose with the existing details will be pure luck. I do not have a win95 install boot disk for this machine. Can I use a system disk from a different 95 machine? [sig][/sig]

Also, I found that if there is a CD in the CDROM when I boot up the system I can use that CD. ex. I put Golf CD in and then reboot system. I can play golf off the CD when reboot is finished. [sig][/sig]

You can use the boot floppy from 95B,95C, and all the 98s. They give an option of loading one of several choices of cdrom drivers. My personal choice is a 98 version just because it has later drivers.
I assume that device manager finds the cdrom drive when the cd is installed and that it doesn't find the cdrom drive when there is no cd installed. This is a strong indication to me that the cdrom drive is defective. But it won't be the first time I've been in error.

is the cd-rom running as slave on the primary IDe controller ? try it as master ( set jumpers accordingly) on the secondary controller if available. If it's on this try vice versa.
