CD-Rom not mapped

My CD-Rom drives are not being given a drive letter by Windows 2000. The drives are displayed on device manager, and are displayed in the storage report of my Intel Ultra ATA controller. They do not show up in Disk Manager, so its not like I can manually give them a drive letter.

They used to work just fine, until I uninstalled Adaptec (Roxio) Easy CD Creator 5.0.

Doesn't make sense. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I actually found the answer to my own question.

The problem has to do with a registry entry written by Easy CD Creator (I believe) that persists after the software is uninstalled. Here's a link (Computing.net) to the post that supplied the necessary registry modifications:
