CD-ROM cannot read disc after Installation!

I recently purchased the new Microsoft Flight Simulator game, "A Century in Flight", and after a successful installation and restart of the computer, neither my CD-RW or DVD drive can read the CD I put in. It asks for CD #4, which I put in as labeled on the disc, but I still get the same error. I had this problem a while back with a Tiger Woods game, but I never could find a solution to the problem. I am attempting to run the game on a computer I built just over two months ago. I am using a LITE-ON LTR-52245S as my primary CD drive.

If any other information is needed please reply to this thread and I can give more detial. If anybody has any suggestions as to what changes I could make to computer settings or the CD device settings please let me know. Thank you very much.

Essentially, you need to be logged on as Administrator.

After using your advice, I am asked for the password for the administrator evne though I never got an administrator password when I got Windows. I had just created a personal account with the same preferences as an administrator.

Would having the same powers as an administrator be, in a sense, have the same effect as logging in as the administrator? Is there a way to get the password to the administrator account?

Any other ideas?

I have full adminstrative powers so I can't see how that would affect Windows reading the CD.

A member of the Administrator's group is not the same thing as the local console Administrator.

Try again to logon as Administrator, and for passord just hit the Enter key.
