i have a game cd that is identified with
another game i already uninstalled.anyone know where
this old image might be kept in win98se?i looked
pretty good but cant find it.other games are ok
i dont know why this old image is attached.

Can you explain that again please - I don't understand.
What exactly is happening?
Ie, describe what you do and what happens that you don't expect.

'anyone know where this old image might be kept in win98se?' - which old image?

Are you sure the CD wasn't just labelled incorrectly if it was copied ?

when you double click on my computer,
the D:/ reads the name of the game,
but that "logo" is from another game
already uninstalled.i dont know how
the cd-rom is retrieving this,possibly
an old .bmp i cant find?unusual....

It is part of the icon cache. If you have teakui installed on the repair page there is the option to rebuild the icon cache. Reboot after and it should display the correct icon.

There is much pleasure to be gained from useless knowledge. (Bertrand Russell)

Or just right click the drive when a CD is in there, choose "Change Icon" and point it to the generic CD-ROM icon.

Good luck!
