when i close an application from desk,sometimes the drive won't open and i have to switch off pc and power up again,then it will eject,why have i this problem?

sorry-when i finished the application that is workin from the cd rom drive and i go to eject the disk from the drive it will not open,this might only happen once in every 10 times.
