Im planning to add a path to our CCR so when a caller press 5 it would go to an INFO then record the names and extensions of the employees. Is this possible? Once you're listening to the info message, do you still have the options to enter the extension?

Thanks in advance.

not on an info message- they will not accept digits.
You can do it- but you have to make it a menu.

Actually I have a flash voicemail, will this still work? I'm not sure how many sub-directories you can have.

yes- just make 5 a menu. I cant remember with flash, but you may have to input another digit after the 5 menu (for instance 7, then make 7 a path to anywhere...(no one will actually press the 7 after the 5)) This false path allows you to complete the menu without the flash considering it "incomplete.

True- You can do it on a Flash- but I cant remember if my comments above are correct for it, or not.

bkrike,

All of your comments are accurate. The flash isn't concerned with incomplete trees like CallPilot is though.

thanks BCMguy.
I like your website, and from the looks of it you know what your talking about.

The work around to dialing digits within an info tree segment is to prompt the customer to dial '*' and then the extention number. The * elevates the caller one level up where digits can be dialed.

If you make a path 5 for instance and record a message for it such as for blah blah press 1 for blah blah press 2 for up to 8 people. Just go back to path, enter 51 for press one on path 5. Go to path again and enter 52 for press two on path 5. Then make them internal transfers to what extension press 1 is and so on. Did this on a NAM recently,it should work on a Flash.
