OK,
I now have 2 routers 2514 and a 2501 and a 1924 switch.
Now, what are the best practices I could be doing on these routers in order to gain real world experience I should be looking for? I have been playing with the routers with Rip and OSPF, but what should I be focusing on with the goal of the CCNA in mind. Is there a lab work guide that I could follow and get some real experience?

I would look at the basics more than high-level stuff. Subnetting, IP conversion (bin-dec-hex), OSI, etc.

You can look at the Cisco website for more details as to what to expect on the exam.

the CCNA has changes quite a lot recently.. Def study the basics like graves said.. but there is quite alot of practical cisco and command problems now.

As a rule of thumb.. if it is not in the cisco acad books books for ccna it prob is not on the exam...

exam cram is a great resource here too.. the really have a good grasp on topics covered..

You better know the 2950 switch as well. I did not see one ? abot the 1900 series.
