I have been having a lot of NIC failures since installing Catalyst 3750 switches. (A lot is three or four nics since October.) More then I am use to.

In line power is set to auto. I am fearful that this is could be a problem.

Has anyone else had problems associated with these switches?

Your assistance is appreciated.

It should not be a problem as the power is run on unused pairs in the cable . The only way it might be a problem is if it is a 10/100/1000 nic where a copper nic uses all pairs to get gig bandwidth . A plain 10/100 nic it should not matter .

The failed nic's will sometimes continue to show connectivity, however will not process data. The last that failed in the middle of the day did not show connectivity.

A new network card or replacement system would work fine.

We may just be having a small out break of failures, but I am always concerend with problems following change.
