Catalyst 2916 Switch IOS upgrade

hey Guys, can someone tell me where to find a guide on how to upgrade a Cisco catalyst 2916 switch? These are now end of sale and no longer supported by Cisco and have therefore remove all documentation for it also. Great fun. Googleing it doesnt seem to help much either so im kinda stuck as to how to do this. Do I just delete the image from my flas with the delete and <filename of image>? What happens if I cant upgrade the switch after that?

Any help would be awesome

update...I got my image to copy over no problem but after I formatted my flash. not a good idea since now I get an error loading the image. Now I need to figure out how to load an IOS via the console cable.

I would down load the image you want and see if it fits onyour flash. If it does not,
- down load a stripped down version (4mb)
- copy it to your flash
- back up your old version
- boot from the smaller code IOS
- erase the old and upload the new
- then boot from the new code
