cascading (drop-down) menus

Is it possible to create cascading or drop-down menus in flash? I would see a great deal of variance that could be employed if this is the case.

I was sort of hoping to come across a tutorial somewhere that gives me the basic idea on how they are created. I figured if I could get through that, then maybe eventually I could expand upon that.
