Cartograpy, Text on a path

I work with freehand (8&9) for cartography. The guy who did this before attached all street names to a path. Does anyone know how I can detach them from the paths into ordinary boxes instantly (to decrease file size, because It won't RIP anymore)with the same rotations. Think of cities like Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Brussels, Berlin, Paris and other major European cities; A lot of vectorinfo in a file..

Hi Manfred,

To remove text from a path, select the text and choose 'Detach from path' under the Text menu (FH9). I'm not sure how this will effect your rotations, but you can then select the text and ust the rotation option in the Transform panel to manipulate the text.
