Hi all, I have an idea but no way of realising it without help.
I have a large excel database which calculates pupils grades and performance. This is great as it allows me to identify problems and high flyers etc, It dispays this in cells beside the pupils name or computer logon number. It occoured to me that it would be brill if I could get these cells to link to a page or web page in the users network my documents folder so they could see their progress.
I realise I could create an excel document and by using hyperlinks get it to display this information, however if there was a way to capture the users logon ID and add it to the formulae that generated the cells I would then only need to create one master Excel document and then post it to all the users Network my documents folder. Any Ideas?

Hi FISKO
Windows stores this information and it can be referenced via:

%USERNAME%

I guess you'll probably need to write some VBA to manipulate this.

I hope this points you in the right direction.
