hi, hope someone can help.

I have 3 headers on the top called on B1-D1: 1999, 2000, 2001.
on the A2-A6 cells, I have: january, february, march, april, may.

within B2 to D6 I have various values.
If you create a line chart using the wizard, & select "Series In: " Rows option, you only get January line and not the rest of the months.

How can I show lines for January, february, etc. ? As the X-Axis which shows the Year is right and just the way I want it.

Thank you.

Thank you.

hi, dp,

I can't tell what you are trying to accomplish, but here's the scoop on the information that you have provided.

Your source data looks something like this not knowing the VALUES that you are plotting...
Code:
        	1999 2000 2001
january 1 2 3
february	2 3 4
march 3 4 5
april 4 5 6
may 5 6 7
So if you use SERIES IN ROWS, you'll have
1999, 2000, 2001 on the X-Axis and a SERIES for each month

If you use SERIES IN COLUMNS you'll have
months on the X-Axis and a SERIES of each year

I do not understand how you only get a series for january, UNLESS your data is skewed.

Could you provide more information regarding your data?

Thanks!! That is exactly the graph I'm trying to do.

But, I don't understand either how come January only came up.

What do you mean the data is skewed?

Thank you.

Thank you.

The numbers in the data range, when I click on format cells,
they are set to Number with decimals 4 points. that's all I have.

I had to create a new spreadsheet from scratch and it worked!!!

weird.

thank you.

Thank you.
