When i make a call out, when i go to trabsfer the call to someone else it doesn't work. If the call comes in i can transfer it.
Is there a CLS i am missing or a feature some where?

Thank
Mal

DID YOU GET AN ANSWER BEFORE YOU TRIED TO TRANSFER

Is it an ACD set? I think by default ACD sets are prevented from transferring an originating call. You can swap but not connect to complete the transfer. Keeps idle agents from setting up a personal LD company.

LD 15
TYPE NET_DATA
TRNX YES
EXTT YES

reading through posts some people say the above will work. You could also try using conference instead of transfer. Also there are some posts about changing trunk type. do a search for trunk to trunk transfer on this site or nortels books.

Try pressing the # key before trying to transfer/conference the outgoing call. You may not have any answer supervision on the trunk so the PBX does not realize that the call is answered - and will block an attempt to transfer/conference - until the EOD timer configured for that route expires. The # key tells the system that you are done dialing.

Nortellian, those are great ideas. While I see the statement that this call type "won't work" in the most recent NTP's, I have always been mystified about the limitation. I also think the Access Restrictions chapter hasn't been updated to match many of the new prompts....such as those you mentioned.

I'll bet you may have it nailed....hope the poster lets us know.

Guys, thanks for all your help. Yes it is an ACD se, but it also will not work on an admin set either?

HI All

The cls was already set to FTTU, this doesn't work eother. Nor does putting # infront.

More to the transfer issue. I can transfer to 1 CDN but it will not allow me to transfer to others. the CDN i can tranfer to is 2400, the others are 2408, 2405 and these don't work. The programming for these cdns all look the same. AM i missing something?

are they pointing to the same rlb? and does that rlb have a single entry? either of those can block a transfer.. if the transfer is external to external then you may be blocked, if the cdn's are pointing to an internal route it should go... if the rlb has entries to enternal and external routes, that may be why some number work and other do not
