Can't Share Scanner over workgroup?

I am trying to share my Dell AIO 964 with another computer on my workgroup. I have been able to print to the Dell, but I cannot access any of the scan functions? The remote computer doesn't see the printer/scanner to install the software?
I have Sharing enabled, along with File and Print sharing.

Any ideas?

Can't share scanners, only printers.
I have seen software that will share a USB port to the network allowing remote computers access to the device hooked up to it, but I haven't actually tested any to see how they work.

In older models of Scanners you could connect one machine via USB and another machine via the Parallel port connection.

There is this thread but the contained link (u/s) needs some searching to discover the source.
