When I try to set a recurring appointment I can't set the reminder to the time I want. (It doesn't seem to matter what I choose.) I get the following message.

"The reminder for an occurence cannot be set to appear before the previous occurence. Shorten the reminder time or lengthen the recurrence period."

Shouldn't I be able to set any reminder I want?

Thanks.

What is the time you are setting for the appointment? What time are you setting for the reminder? I thought it only allowed you to set, say 0, 5, 10, 15 min's or so before the appointment schedule time.

The appointment is an all day event. I wanted to set the reminder to 2 weeks but it wouldn't even let me do 2 hours. You can set the reminder on an appointment that is not an all day event to anything from 0 minutes to 4 weeks.

Well, I've used the recurring event of Outlook in the past, and it seems to automatically give you a new reminder before each task. I don't think you can set a reminder for it that far in advance, but you could set a separate reminder as a recurring event with the details as the subject: something like biweekly meeting next week at 2pm.. something like that, and just be sure to delete each reminder notice once it has "popped-up" and not dismiss, or else it will quit reminding you (unless that has been updated in newer versions of office).
