Hi,

All my users are running Outlook 2000. Most are running IE5.5 some have IE6. Some want to send links of the site they are on to others.
When they go to File/Send/Link by Email, they get the message "This message has not been sent. Outlook blocked access to the following potentially unsafe attachments: XXXXXX.url"
Any ideas why this is happening?

Thanx

That is the build in security in Outlook 2000 and XP.
Either you fix the allowed entries in the registry, or you use a simple workaround.
Before sending, make the message Plain text and have the url in the body, not as an attachment. If 'something' 'somewhere' gives 'some' error, excpect random guesses or no replies at all. Please specify details.

Thankyou, the registry fix worked fine.
