Can't send emails with attachments

Hi

Strange problem. Users can send emails to .local and external .co.uk users email addresses, but cannot send or reply to messages with attachments to each other. Any ideas?

Outlook has a setting when initially set up that i does not allow attachments have you change that setting????

tools options security change automatic download settings warn beforedown.... un ticked ???

It's the same each time with progress. First they ignore you, then they say you're mad, then dangerous, then there's a pause and then you can't find anyone who disagrees with you.

Hi appreciate the reply. Unfortunately it is when sending emails, not receiving. I know of the 'feature' your talking about and I wish I had a pound for everytime I had to explain that one to a user.

As I said it is when the user either composes a new email or replies to an email with an attachment. Its really weird.

yep silly me !! in the exchange system manager have you restricted size of mail that users can send???
would adding a attachment exceed this ?? message delivery ?

Thanks for the info. I haven't restricted anything, but will have a check. The only really strange thing is, its intermitent (is that spelt correct?), which is a real pain.
