Just this week, I noticed when I go to Network Neighborhood that I can only see about 7 computers out of 300. I can't browse to other computers, and now some people can't print to network printers. I'm getting a message about the master browser receiving an announcement from another computer that it is the master browser, so the PDC master browser says it is stopping. Will rebooting fix this?

Usually yes. You probably have a 98 box that decided to promote itself as the master browser.

You should also make sure that you have NetBIOS over TCP/IP enabled on all machines.

I hope you find this post helpful.

Mark

Thanks guys for the quick response. I booted the PDC last night and this morning everything seems okay. I really love this forum. I've received lots of help. I downloaded the NetBios browsing console and it is totally cool! It looks like we are in good shape.

Thanks again and keep up the good work. (cause I'll probably be back!!!!)
