Hi All,
I have a system (NT4.0, Access97) where I cannot see ANY activex controls. When I click on the button on my toolbar that has a hammer and wrench, and the tooltip says "More Controls", instead of a list of controls I get a little box about 1cm square with nothing in it. I do have the form in design view, and this functionality works on other computers, but not on this one specific box.

The control I'm trying to use is the calendar--file is mscal.ocx. I registered the object with regsvr32. Nothing I do seems to make a bit of difference. It's like there are no activex controls on this computer, but I know that is not so.

Thanks for any advice you can offer.

Paul

did you go into tools >>> references >> activeX from your VB editor? That is only thing i can think of. Dont know if that helps

Sorry Raven. There is really no "ActiveX reference", just references to specific objects/libraries/features.

When I open this database on another computer, the "other controls" functionality works fine. That would seem to indicate that the problem is external to Access, or possibly that it has something to do with the Office 97 installation.

Sorry I was not more clear about that before.
