I have the correct flash card. You are correct, the vendor supplied me with a new card. They thought the new card might be bad so they sent me a new one (that was tested and worked fine) but I still get the same error.
It sounds like you have a defective NetPacket board. The problem is when you shut down the switch to replace the board you don't know how stable the switch will be when it comes back up. Do you still have a pre-upgrade flashcard as an emergency backup?
I called my vendor regarding this problem, they contacted Avaya. Avaya had to dial in to clear the problem and now I can save trans but I can't get Avaya to tell me what was wrong. Now they want us to reload the switch but I don't want to fool with it without knowing what the problem was and what I'm up against.
Thanks!
Maybe you can trace their steps by doing a "list hist"
There would probably be a log of user 'init' doing certain things.
Also check if they loaded patches ; 'li con soft' would show something in the 'Update Identifier' field if a patch was loaded.
It is always handy to keep a record of the (patch)versions before someone does something to your switches.
If they loaded patches, a 'hot'sofware level restart is usually enough.
They can do that remote..
I checked list history and can see that they dialed in but it didn't show anything but the login and logoff.
Li con soft showed "none" in the identifier so no info there.
I don't have experience with checking the flash card to make sure the data is good. Apparently, save trans hasn't been working for some time now. I took over this position and stumbled acrossed it. That's what I get for being proactive!
If I can confirm that the data on the flash card is good, I'll feel better about reloading the system. Do I need to send a flash card with my data on it to my vendor for verification or is there a way I can do it?
