cant save anything on quark xpress

Howdy everyone,
I've recently acquired Quark Express Passport 6.0 and I can create new files, and pretty much everything else except the most important thing which is save it! I don't even have the option of saving my file, it is just greyed out when i go into "file". Can anyone think of why this is happening?
Any help would be greatly appreciated

What system Mac or PC etc. etc.

Have upgraded to 6.5 free from Quark website?

Can you do a save as?

Can you save the file in a different location, say, your harddrive?

I'm guessing It's a permission problem with OS

HI sambarry,
did u upgrade the QXP from 5.0??
if yes,then then have u activated ur present copy??
cause save option is greyed out only when ur using DEMO copy of QXP.any copy of QXP turns to DEMO mode after 5 days of fresh installation.

It might also be greyed out if you are using more than one copy of the same licence on the same network.

LOL, that happens when you use a dodgy copy and dont use the correct patches along with the sn

write to quark, they can help you get it going haha
