Can't open word file protect by a password

Hi,

I have quit weird problem: When opening my word file, which is protected by a password, got an error message saying that the method of cryptography is not available for this country ...

I have word 97, with SR-2 running on NT4, with SP6.

My guess after reading the 'country' part is that the file may have been created on a computer in a different country. If that is the scenario, I'd respond that some encryption levels of Windows and Office were not allowed to be exported to various countries, so the document may have to be re-sent without the password. Could also be a difference in the versions of Office in use.
