WHEN I TRY TO OPEN A FILE I GET THE FOLLOWING ERROR AND THIS ONLY HAPPENS TO THE ONE PC's ON OUR LAN:
The expression on Open you entered as the event property setting produced the following error:
ActiveX component cant create object

i have re-install access and tried a few other things but nothing seem to work.....i'm not an ACCESS expert!!!!

Try holding down the Shift key to attempt to by pass the Autoexec macro (or the Start Up options) that might be causing this. Hold Shift down when you double click the database from the explorer (the db may then appear in a minimised window).

yes that is by passing the error message, but what is causing it?....just so that i can explain the cause of the problem

You'll have to look at exactly what the Autoexec macro is doing. Without the database is very hard to say, and I don't know enough about ActiveX to really help you. I had a similar message when I created an ActiveX calendar on a subform, and then tried to open the database on a pc that didn't have that ActiveX installed.
