Help! I'm trying to map my drive and connect it to our network but haven't been able to do so. I've done this with all of our other computers no problem but this time it isn't working. When I try to connect up to it it simply says it cannot connect. I've made sure to check my server name and share name. Any help would be great.

Try pinging another machine again please?

Could you also please post the results of the IPConfig /All from one of the other machines and also do the net view on that machine.

I am tempted to say that the machine simply isn't on the same network segment you're on or you do have the firewall enabled.

Also worth trying is a pathping to one of the other machines. From the cmd prompt type pathping computername and post the results.

The real world is not about exam scores, it's about ability.

I was assuming that it was the user that was Abby 9 rather than Abby11 (as that's the folder name thats being displayed). By the looks of the DNS entries that Abby has, the computers are pointing directly out rather than at a router so she wouldn't get any decent answers from the /displaydns command either (which was one of the reasons for doing the net view command).

I would still like to get the results of the ipconfig /all from one other machine just to make sure that the TCP\IP settings are correct across the two machines.
