I have a Win2k Pro desktop that normally logond to the Domain. For some reason (user said he powered down and powered up) there is a conflict in the computer account on the PC and the Domain Controller. I have tried removing the workstation from the Act Dir and readding it but to no avail. I can't even logon locally to the workstation - I am using the Admin acct/pwd and it immediately send me back to the 'press Ctrl Alt Delete to logon' screen.

Help!!!

Thanks,
Don

I am logging on using the Administrator account with the CORRECT password - all it does is flash a split second, play the logon sound and then revert directly back to the crtl/alt/del screen - no error msg, no nothing!

ok ,, I think it's an script ...
did u test to loggen locally using another account ? Mohamed Farid
Know Me No Pain , No Me Know Pain !!!

yes - tried all other accounts that might have been setup as local accounts - nothing seems to work - I can't find a valid password/user combo. I didi try rebooting in safe mode, and when i logoin locally, I get the windows background and a mouse pointer for about 60 seconds, then it reset to the logon screen.

Mohamed - I believe you may be on to something with the script - could be virus related!. Is there any way to interupt the script when logging on?

can u enter to the safe mode command prombt ? Mohamed Farid
