OS: XP Professional
Software: Windows Messenger 4.7
All MS updates: current
When logged into the OS as Administrator:
- On a computer at home I can't login to Windows Messenger.
- With the same UserID and Password I can login from work.
- On another computer at home running the same OS and software and on the same LAN I CAN login.
- If I logoff the OS as Administrator and logon as another user I can login to Windows Messenger.
I'm assuming it's a security setting somewhere, but I'm mystified as to what it might be.
Here's the error:
Signing in to .NET Messenger Service failed because the password is incorrect or the sign-in name does not exist. If you have forgotten your password, click Help in the main window, and click Help Topics.
(options: RETRY and CANCEL)
TIA!
