I have create a new administrator account to log in to voicemail pro client.
Set up as administrator.

When I set it up it comes back with a warning about admin accounts are are created in centralized management.
Local accounts settings won't apply.

The only account that works is the default Administrator account.

Vm pro is 9.1.5
Ipo 9.1.5

Use to be able to do this on 8.1 without any problems.

Would it be a security issue someware in the ipo.

Anybody know where to allow it to create an account.

Any ideas

Your system is set to use Referred Authentication. The settings of who can log into the Voicemail Pro client and what level of access they have when they do so are now controlled by the IP Office security settings.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

That's what I thought.

I was reading the 9.1 voicemail pro doc and I saw it mention there about security rights and going to the external tab.

When I get back to site I will have a look.

Tried security settings and set EXTERNAL to Vmpro Administrator, saved

Still cant log in to voicemail pro Client using new account.

Has any one set up a new account on 9.1.5 voicemail pro client.

Firstly what server is this; Server Edition, Application Server, UCM?

If its a UCM you need to change the security settings of the IP Office service running on the UCM, not those of the IP Office hosting the UCM (silly yes but that's Avaya's idea of good design!).

By default the Rights Group called Business Partner has Voicemail Pro Administrator access select. So for the new service user that you create just make sure they are a member of the Business Partner rights group.

I will give that a go
its ip office 500v2 9.1.5
voicemail pro on a PC Linux server.

Same here... Go to security settings with manager and configure the accounts there.

Hi derfloh

Can you give me some more detail.
So the account I want to create is
Username: Supervisor
Password: ChangeMe!

So in manager I create this
Rights group : business partner, voicemail pro administrator.

Should work. Connect with VMPro client to the server and use the above mentioned credentials.

Be sure to not have the account created on the IPO but on the VMPro server. Doing is the same like with an IPO account.

That's great.

Unfortunately this is the weekend and I may not get back to this site.
I will try remotely to set this up and see if the customer can access it on Monday.

Open Security settings on the Linux machine from Manager. You will need to Open Config before you can open Security settings. Create the Service User there. Business Partner needs to be checked. It seems like something is broken in the centralized security.
