Can't log onto my new domain please help

Hi please would you kindly help me out this mess? I recently got a new computer so I decided to use it as the server for my network. After installing windows 2000 server and setting it up to run DHCP. I am not able to log onto my domain from the old workstations. It says the domain you are trying to log into is not available although I can see all my clients in the My Network Places of the windows 2000 server but can’t access them both from the clients and from the server.

did you have a domain before? you'll have to disjoin and rejoin the domain, even if you named it the same thing.

you may have set the wrong settings in the dhcp server.

Did you install DNS?

hi thanks guys for the reply. I had a domain before. The DNS is installed on the new server.
