can't load png files through loadmovie?

Ok i am currently using flash mx and when i use the loadmovie function to load images any image which is in jpeg format (*.jpg) loads with out any problems

however when i try to load png images (*.png) or gif (*.gif)
nothing shows up..

so i was wondering if anyone has any advice to resolve this..

You can only dynamically load .jpgs and/or .mp3s, that's all.

Unless you are using Flash 8 that is. Flash 8 supports more formats for loading at run time.
