Can't Install Programs...

I can't install any programs with windows xp pro. I believe that the MSI files are missing. don't know what to do to get them back or reinstall.

i tried to install norton internet security and it gives me the error...

MSI should run through setup.

Try setting up a logfile to see what is going on with your installs.

Make sure you are an Administrator and that the Windows Installer service is not disabled in Services.
