Can't Install or uninstall office on Win98!!!!!!!

Hi all, I neet to install Office XP on WIN98, but any time i insert the office CD or try to uninstall office 2000 I got the error.

MSIEXECE have performe an eligal operation,

How could i intall or uninstall office without reinstall Win98.
