Can't install Groupwise client

Trying to install GW client on MS 2003 Server but dble-clicking the setup.exe does nothing. The same files install fine on a WinXP desktop so files are OK. Logged in as Administrator and have Novell client already installed. Other applications install fine.

Other applications & executables (including previous version of GW6.5) installed fine. Must be something else happening here.

Still need help if anyone is monitoring this one; just about ready to rebuild server from scratch but that's a lot of work so hoping there's a knowledgeable soul willing to share.

After talking with Novell, we're thinking the issue lies with InstallShield since that seems to be what "starts" to run but quits before any application install process does. Again, it seems to only be with this application - other app.'s install fine.

cant think of anything

i dont install this on many 2003 but i did install 6.5.4 and also the 7 client on citrix ps4 sitting on 2003 sp1 no probs at all

if you clean up the gw install
remove windows messaging
reinstall client and let it install the windows messaging
