This is a set-up problem I think. When I click Export from External Database, I'm not getting Microsoft Excel as a file-type to import - I've tried re-installing - and have installed OfficePro with all the Data Access and COnverters and Filters selected. Also have installed the ValuPak Data Access bit but no joy.

My feeling is that the drivers I need are installed, but aren't coming up properly (I get the following error "Couldn't find installable ISAM" - when I try and run an excel upload from a macro)

any help gratefully received

Hi Dan,

I had the same problem. I installed MS Office on a fresh PC and did not hav all the file types to import and export. I tried every thing. Re-Installing, insatlling MDAC...etc.. I even went through 2 PC's before I got the the complete import export set up..I would be realy intrested to see if any one has a solution to this !!...

Hey Dan,

Look like we are the only two people who have had this problem....(?)

Is there any suggestions that can be given..

Thanks,
Derickd

Derickd,

I managed to solve it - I haven't got the link to hand - but wil find it. Basically I uninstalled Access and then deleted the required driver files (I will repost when I have them - but they are dll files with the number 35 in them and then a reference to the import type -.e something like msexcel35.dll - but don't quote me yet)

Then I re-installed and everything was fine. (took all the options on install)
