My 7310 is in relocation mode, and I unplugged it to check the quality of a different phone. When I plugged my phone back in, I can no longer hear from the speaker when I press the Handsfree Mute button. People can hear me, but I can't hear their voice. What did I do?

did u swap it w/ another 7310 set? Sounds like your mic is okay but not the speaker. When u press the intercom button w/ the h/s down, do u hear dialtone? Did the handsfree work on the other set?

I did swap with with another 7310 set, but then realized it was the actual phone that carries the extension, so it wouldn't work to just plug it in. I'd have to reprogram it.

I do not hear dial tone when I press the intercom button. I've tried turning up the volume but that doesn't help.

I've also noticed that since the re-plug I can't just hang up the phone to disconnect the call, I have to press the release button. Not sure if they're connected.

make sure handset not plugged into headset on base of 7310

6 months until ski season starts...sadly i must resign myself to the warmer weather"this will include a normal 8-5 work day, 5 days a week"

Thanks for the suggestion--There is definitely not a headset plugged in.

phone is most likely defective and needs replacing. should hear dialtone when intercom is pressed and should disconnect when h/s is put back on-hook.

U said u have to hit release to end a call even tho u've put the h/s on-hook...u may have a bad hookswitch as sometime the spring inside comes off.

Is it the exact same ext # it was?
Do Feature * 0 and press handsfree, if states the ext # on display then its an Intercom button and not handsfree.
Also make sure the handset is not plugged into headset underneath the phone.

Lets go back to luv2ski suggestion he said is the HAND SET not a HEAD SET pluged into the headset jack on the bottom of the phone. This will cause the problem you are having. It turns off the speaker.

AHA! Yes, I misunderstood luv2ski's suggestion. Indeed, my phone cord was plugged in to the handset jack underneath, and not the phone cord jack. Fixed, and speakerphone is back on.
Thank you so much everyone!! [thumbsup]
