We have a G4 running system 9.0 which keeps coming up with a log in prompt to a server over ethernet. We've checked to make sure the checkboxes aren't selected that prompts it to do this, I've zapped the PRAM, I've reset the keychain prefs and I've tried starting up with base extensions on and nothing seems to be helping. This causes and extra 5 minutes wait time at start up while it searches out the server.

Oh please someone help.... - nichole

Trash appleshare prep. For good measure, I'd trash network prefs, file sharing prefs too.
Good Luck,
PT

TOP TIP

In you system folder you will find a folder called 'SERVERS' delete all the items in this folder and do as PTmon says.

Good Luck

MatthewA,
Yes! When I looked into the Server folder, there was an alias for each of the two servers it kept going toward. For good measure I followed PTmon's advice as well. You guys have made several people in this office VERY happy.

thanks again - nichole
