I have a 2 page doc in Word 2000. There is a third page that is blank with the exception of the logo in the header. The header on page 1 is different than the header on page 2 and 3. Regardles of what I do, I can not delete the third page.
Help anyone, with thanks.

Go to Tools-Options, View tab. Under non-printing characters, choose ALL.

If you see a paragraph return (looks like a backwards P), then delete it. If you can't delete it, select it by holding shift key and hit right arrow key, and make it one point in font size by TYPING a 1 into the font size and hit enter.

Have you tried to put the cursor at the end of the document with key combination Ctrl-End then use the Backspace key to delete any stray CR LF characters?

Thanks for the response.
Klick, I tried that but no go.
Tried Dreamboat's suggestion but I still have the page. At the end of page 2 there is on paragraph symbol. After I tried to delete the symbol at the top of page 3 I tried deleting the symbol on page 2. I got rid of the symbol but page 3 remains. If I delete the contents from the header on page 3 it also removes the header on page 2.

here's a thought... are the margins of the page to small?? i did that once and it kept printing another sheet untill i figured it out... Junior1544@yahoo.com
Life is change. To deny change is to deny life.

I have adjusted the margins to no avail. Still have page 3.Working with Word shouldn't be this tough.....[hammer]
Thanks anyway

Received file, returned with recommendations for fixing.

This gentlemen's document had *automatic style* formatting on it. To avoid this, I have recommended settings at for up to Word 2000; will amend this weekend to include settings for Word XP.

Specifically, the paragraph return that was sitting at the top of page 3 had a style of Header. When I checked the paragraph formatting, I found the space before set at 60 points. That's about the height of 5 lines of text. No wonder we couldn't get him straightened out! :)

Another problem. Word 2000 allows *wrapping* of text around tables. Tables are now treated much like graphics where you can have text to the left and right. Some people might have wanted this, but I fear it causes more problems than it is worth. If your table sits on top of your header, or simply will not *pull up* onto the page you want it on, click somewhere in your table, hit Table-Select Table. Then hit Table-Table Properties, and set text wrapping to NONE.

His table also had row heights set to *at least*. This can accomplish a nice amount of white space in your tables. However, I strongly recommend using the space before/space after in paragraph formatting in tables instead. Two above and below usually provides enough white space without having the text look crammed into the document.

Hope it helps, cspgsl!

Excellent, I'll report back on your suggestions.
Thank you
